Living with a neurological condition often brings unexpected challenges, including financial strain. Medical treatments and therapies can be costly, and not everyone has the resources to cover these expenses fully. To help ease this burden, we offer a Means Tested Support Scheme designed specifically for neurological clients. This program provides discounted access to essential therapies, making care more affordable without compromising quality.
How the Means Tested Support Scheme Works
Our scheme operates on a simple but effective principle: we allocate a portion of our year end charitable reserves to fund discounted places for clients in need during the following financial year. This approach allows us to support a limited number of clients each year, ensuring that those who qualify receive meaningful assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scheme, clients must meet two key requirements:
Be registered with us as a neurological client.
Provide appropriate means tested evidence.
Once an application is submitted, the CEO verifies the documentation, and the board approves the final decision. This process ensures fairness and transparency while maintaining the integrity of the scheme.
Types of Discounts Available
Applicants can choose between two types of support, depending on their needs:
Physiotherapy Discount: Clients receive two physiotherapy sessions for the price of one, available once per month.
Oxygen Therapy Discount: Clients get a £10 discount on up to four sessions per month, limited to one session per week.
Each option comes with specific terms to ensure the support is used effectively and fairly.
Why This Support Matters
Neurological conditions often require ongoing treatment to manage symptoms and improve quality of life. By offering further discounted sessions, our scheme helps clients maintain their treatment plans without the added stress of financial pressure. This support can make a real difference in clients’ health outcomes and overall well-being.

Applying and Reapplying for the Scheme
Clients interested in the scheme must apply annually. Because funds are limited, the scheme operates on a capped basis. At present, we have reached full capacity for this scheme year and cannot accept new applicants.
Clients are encouraged to inquire about reapplying for the next scheme year. Staying in touch with us ensures they receive updates on availability and any changes to the program.
Practical Tips for Applicants
If you are considering applying for the Means Tested Support Scheme, here are some helpful tips to prepare your application:
Gather all necessary financial documents early, such as benefits letters.
Ensure you are registered as a neurological client with us before applying.
Clearly indicate which discount option you prefer.
Submit your application before the deadline to allow time for verification and approval.
Please note the scheme is currently at full capacity for this year, and we are not able to accept additional applications at this time.
