I felt well supported and safe. It was also good to be challenged to go beyond my comfort zone as I had had some months of start / stop progress and differing inputs on the problem and how best to manage”

“The laughter and kindness are highlights of my week. At the Centre, I no longer feel as alone. As soon as I set lopsided foot in the centre, I wondered why I hadn’t come sooner. The reality of the Centre is that it’s empowered me to take more control over my illness, now I go for regular physio and gentle exercise classes. The laughter and kindness are highlights of my week.”
Helen (living with MS)
“The range of therapies on offer are amazing. I have tried various forms of these therapies: advice on breathing exercises to improve the quality of my breathing, acupuncture to alleviate symptoms of fatigue and pain, sessions on the anti gravity walking machine to build up my stamina and most recently massage for a painful back which has made a very significant difference after only one session."
Morag Kerr
“The Centre is a hub for meeting and encouraging each other, for moral support – it really helps keep me positive. It provides what I need to manage my MS. The physiotherapy, exercise classes and complementary therapies have been invaluable to me. It’s a great comfort to know the Centre is there for me. I hope it always will be for those who need it. I know I can go there whenever I need to.”

Power Your Wellbeing -Innovative Neuro Rehab Technology
As well as hands-on physical therapy, we use some of the very latest innovations in rehabilitation technology to help optimise your overall wellbeing and physical condition.

The GMove Suit gently compresses and releases the muscles in your legs to help reduce fatigue, improve circulation, enhance muscle strength and improve your body’s sense of position and movement. It can also help with pain management.
GMove Suit

The Mollii Suit delivers mild electrical stimulation to activate weakened muscles throughout the body. It’s designed to support better posture, balance, and limb control, while helping to ease tightness, fatigue, and pain.

Using anti-gravity technology developed by NASA, the AlterG Treadmill supports up to 90% of your body weight while you exercise. This allows you to move safely, reducing strain on your joints and muscles, and lessening fatigue.

Shockwave Therapy is a proven treatment for chronic pain and mobility issues, including shoulder or hip pain, plantar fasciitis, and tendinopathy. It’s also increasingly used to reduce spasticity and improve upper-limb function after stroke.
