Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do

People volunteer with us for lots of reasons – personal experience with neurological conditions, a wish to support a local charity, or simply the desire to make a difference. What they all share is generosity, compassion, and a commitment to helping others.
You can get involved with our physiotherapy team, oxygen therapy team, or in other roles across the Centre. We provide full training and ongoing support, and you’ll quickly see the real impact your time and kindness have on people living with neurological conditions.

You may like to join our Board. Our Trustees are volunteers who guide the strategic direction of the charity and oversee the work of our CEO and small team. They play a vital role in helping us achieve our vision by providing support, guidance, and constructive challenge.
If you have professional skills to offer and are interested in joining our Board of Trustees, please get in touch for an informal chat:

“I first started volunteering at the centre over 10 years ago and I've had the privilege of watching the centre grow into a first class community hub for therapy advice and support. I have seen how it has become a lifeline for many of our clients which gives a real sense of purpose into my role in volunteering. Volunteering has been a real joy for me especially working with dedicated knowledgeable and friendly staff members who are always there to support and care for you.”

“I began volunteering over 6 years ago. I like it because I am able to have a fulfilling role which gets me out of the house and keeps me busy. Also having a disability I appreciate the diverse abilities of our client group and feel at home here where nobody treats me any differently. I meet many people and have developed a better understanding of MS and other conditions. The staff have a great understanding of the issues clients face and the volunteer team is very well respected valued and supported.”

“I have been volunteering at the centre for over 10 years and during this time I have met some amazing clients and also made some great friends with other volunteers and staff. It's a friendly and supportive environment which I am very happy to be a part of and the blather is pretty good too.”
